In the fall of 2003, a small group of parents from Draper came together to build a charter school that would provide quality education emphasizing strong academic training, dynamic student-teacher interaction, and the discovery of each student's unique talents and interests.

Those founders got their wish when the first Summit Academy charter school opened in 2004 for grades K-6. As the school experienced rapid growth, the founders saw a need to continue serving those students throughout their education.

In 2008, Summit Academy extended its services to include grades 7 through 9. With the goal to continue the rigorous academic instruction the school is known for, and to prepare students for college success, Summit Academy High School opened its doors in 2010.

Answering the growing demand for quality education, Summit Academy opened the Independence K-8 campus in Bluffdale in 2014. A second Bluffdale campus was opened in 2016 for K-6.

Today, with four campuses, we're honored to support more than 2500 students, their families, and the broader community - helping shape the future, one student at a time.

At Providence Hall we strive to provide an environment that encourages students to think critically, communicate effectively, and act responsibly in an ever-changing global community. We emphasize this through inquiry-based teaching and learning, character education taught at all grade levels, an emphasis not just on writ memorization but action, and providing service to our community thereby creating global citizens.

Students at Providence Hall will receive a world-class education from teachers who know and care about them, an administration who sees to their needs, and a Board who is truly looking out for their best interest. Students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in their learning, instead of regurgitating memorized facts. They will experience new electives, learn new languages, and learn how to take action on what they are learning. Because we employ the IB program from grade one your student will experience a superior learning method and will better be able to understand more difficult concepts as they progress. When your child attends Providence Hall, they will feel empowered to achieve academically to prepare them for their future.

Not all elementary schools are created equal. Because of Providence Hall’s emphasis on inquiry-based, authentic, and hands-on learning, your Elementary student will be prepared to enter their middle school years with confidence. We understand each child learns differently, and our smaller classes allow teachers and faculty to take the time to teach your child in the way that’s best for them. This way they are confident in their abilities to improve, grow, and achieve their goals as they transition in their education.

C&C Ballet Academy

C&C Ballet Academy opened in 1989 as a small studio offering only ballet classes. C&C is much more than ballet now. They offer classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Creative, Competitive, and Modern for students ages three through adult.

In 2002, C&C founded the non-profit South Pointe Ballet Company. This company offers more opportunities for talented dancers to perform in large-scale productions like Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Peter and the Wolf, and Coppelia.

C&C Ballet's mission is to teach self-esteem, teamwork, and responsibility through the expressive medium of dance. This program is designed to make your dance experience fun and rewarding.

Starshine Studios, established June 2012, is a boutique dance and tumbling studio that allows students of all ages and abilities to experience and enjoy the many benefits of performance arts.

The desire is to create a program that offers exceptional technical training for all students in an environment that is encouraging, positive, and unpretentious. Performance Arts should be a part of every persons' life, but it is not always the only part of life, for many students. The approach is refreshing and different for our Starshine families!

Like all great dancers, we strive for BALANCE for our students, parents, and instructors!

Like all great tumblers, we encourage FLEXIBILITY in our bodies, minds, and instruction approach!

Like all great artists, we develop BEAUTY through movement, attitude, and self expression!

Our mission is to create talented dancers while simultaneously encouraging the development of important values and life skills, such as teamwork, dedication, responsibility, leadership, respect and self-esteem.

We believe dance is for everyone, no matter the skill level or body type. As such, we strive to offer a positive, challenging and structured environment where great values are taught and blossoming talent is developed.

We believe that dance training encourages young people to develop a positive self-image as they increase awareness of their physical capabilities. Along with improving coordination skills and developing muscular awareness, dance gives children the freedom to express themselves through movement.

Pronounced “rin-KOR-ee don SPREE” in Irish, our name means “dancing for fun.” We are a performance-centered school that provides an Irish dance education solely for the love of Irish culture and dance. We perform throughout Utah at events such as the Living Traditions Festival, Utah Scottish Festival, Moab Celtic Festival, and the Utah State Fair, along with other public and private events such as elementary schools, cultural festivals, farmers markets, senior centers and more.

RDS is a local organization that supports itself from tuition, grants, and contributions. By taking classes, you support our mission of bringing a cultural educational experience to those who may not have the opportunity otherwise. Our dancers come from all walks of life, and volunteer their time for community performances.

Established Dance Studio LLC DBA Established Dance and Tumbling was created to provide young people with an opportunity to learn dance and tumbling in a safe, positive, and exciting environment. The name “established” was chosen because of our many years of teaching dance and tumbling in this area. The depth of our experience will enable our students to learn fast and become some of the best dancers around. Our instructors are seasoned, world class teachers, best in their categories. Not only are they outstanding teachers in the art of dance, but they are also tuned into the needs of their students, so each student will have an exceptional experience while they are growing and learning.
